In this section I have notated signature licks that are fundamental to each player - I call them DNA licks! These are ideas that players use again and again. You will see that many players share DNA, using similar licks and approaches. You may even notice how licks are connected and have developed from one player to another over time. You can see a lick Jimmy Page played on the first Led Zeppelin album in the late 60's being played by Michael Schenker in the 70's, and then see it reappear in the playing of Randy Rhoads in the early 80's. There is a continuum and a legacy - learn from the great players that have come before you!
